Because as you get older you have less collagen and elastin in your skin. This prevents you from retaining moisture so your skin becomes drier. Imagine a leaf that has fallen from a tree, it’s no longer getting moisture from the tree so it becomes dry, brittle and wrinkly…just like old skin…

Excellent, don’t have much to add to what Karen said!
A friend of mine is a specialist of wrinkles. He says they form where the skin is being deformed all the time, just like a sheet of plastic that you fold and unfold along the same line. That’s why we get so many on the face, from all the smiling! He works with cosmetic companies, so I asked him which was the best cream against wrinkles? He said the best way in the world to erase wrinkles is …. Photoshop!

I think Karen and Michel have covered this really well, and I particularly the advice about Photoshop…glamour filters work alright as well!
