      False (thankfully!).

      If all of the arctic and antarctic ice sheets melted, it wouldn’t be enough to cover all of the land (but it would cover a lot of coastal areas). Here’s one of my favourite science explainers talking about it:

      Here’s a video showing exactly what the Earth would look like after all the Ice melts (Ireland would still be there, but looks very different from today!)

      I hadn’t heard of that possibility! In the 1990s there a movie about exactly that scenario, it was called Waterworld.
