• Question: if earth reaches a critical temperature what would happen

      Lot’s of bad things. Seas would rise because all of the polar ice caps would melt .

      Then all the deserts at the equator would get much bigger. The Gulf Stream (which is really important for keeping Ireland warm, and not snowed over like northern Canada) which switch off, which will make Ireland get cold, and also affect all of the ocean life. Then, because of the cold weather in Ireland and the larger deserts at the equator, growing enough food for everyone would become an issue.

      But, there’s no need to panic just yet – we’re all working on solutions to global warming, and stopping Earth from hitting that critical temperature. The Paris accord, which is the big agreement a lot of countries have signed up to, came into effect this month. So there is hope 🙂
