Set fire to the entire lab? No! Had a small contained fire in a fumehood? Yes, I was setting up a still (a piece of equipment used to dry solvents) that contained sodium metal, and a small piece came into contact with water and went on fire, however, it burned out very fast, no one was injured and nothing was damaged!

Thankfully no. My lab is just an office with computers in it, and we don’t play with chemicals in here. 🙂
