• Question: do you think you prefer other types of works in science?

      I don’t think so. I really, really enjoy working in astrophysics, and it helps that I’m very passionate about it (I’m sure Gavin is the same about nanoparticles 🙂 ).

      Having said that, I think all of the other fields in science are really, really important.

      Before I was involved with nanochemistry, I really wanted to do pharmaceutical chemistry by studying organic synthesis, and part of me still really likes doing old fashioned “wet” chemistry as it’s called. I also once upon a time was so fascinated by the vastness and beauty of space that I really wanted to do astrophysics, but I found the maths too difficult in university and focused on chemistry.
      But after doing nanochemistry for the past 3 years, I can’t imagine myself suddenly jumping ship in a hurry 🙂
