      Yes but you roils need to receive regular dialysis i.e. Everyday for approx 8 hrs. A dialysis machine acts as mechanical kidney, filtering the blood.

      It’s definitely better to have at least one! But as Karen said, dialysis can work as a substitute for kidneys, although it may impact your daily life due to the amount of time it takes out of your day, and you will also need to do things like make sure your diet and fluid intake is carefully regulated.
