• Question: are there any planets that have set course to crash into earth?

      Fortunately, no. There aren’t any planets or stars that are on a crash course with the Earth.

      We do have systems in place to detect any comets or meteors that might hit us (the Near-Earth Object Program http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/ ) – and these early detection systems let us intervene to keep the Earth safe and intact!
